About Redking Irish Setters
In 1969 I moved with my family from Texas to Boulder Colorado. My experience with
Irish Setters started in 1969 with the purchase of an 8-week-old Irish puppy that I
named Scarlett. I spent the next four years in 4-H and the Irish Setter Club of
Colorado, learning how to train and present Scarlett, and my neighbor's Collies
(Duke and Princess), in Conformation and Obedience events at both AKC and UKC
shows. Scarlett was my first "True Love". She lived for 13 years and died in 1982.
After taking a number of years off to raise my children, I started over again in the
early 90's with the purchase of Sunny (Ch. Analainn's Sun Dancer). Sunny and I
won the Irish Setter Club of Colorado's Winners Bitch Award and Group 4 Award for
1995. I bred Sunny twice founding my first "Redking" Champions. Competing in
AKC, UKC, and Internationally, Sunny's kids made me very proud, winning ISCA
National classes, Championships and annual National and Regional Awards and
UKC Top Ten Rankings! Magic 1997 ISCC Winners Dog Award and this Nations
UKC #1 Irish Setter for 2000, Scarlett 1997 ISCC Winners Bitch Award and Top
Ten ranked 10th for 2000 and 8th for 2002, and Redford winning the 1998 Irish
Setter Club of America's American Bred class at the Nationals in Missouri. Take a
look through our website at our Irish Setters! Redking Irish Setters are bred to the
AKC Standard, sound health, sweet temperaments, and stunning movement. David
and I are members in good standing of the Irish Setter Club of America, The Irish
Setter Club of Colorado, and the Western Irish Setter Club (Chicago Illinois). I have
so far served many years on the ISCC Board, and am a dedicated ISCA Rescue
Volunteer. We adhere strictly to a sound Code of Ethics and the Irish Setter Club of
America's Principals of Integrity.

Dave is always giving me flowers. In all the
years that we have been married not a
week goes by that I don't receive a beautiful
bunch of flowers from him! This is a photo
of one bunch of Roses that he gave me
while we were dating. He used to come over
to my house in Lyons Colorado and bring
me flowers. The tradition has never
stopped...What a great husband, father
and business partner he has been!
